The Riverland Rose and Garden Festival, established in 1994, draws people together over stunning roses as well as providing opportunities to experience some of the best gardens, food and wine, and river recreation that the town and region has to offer. The festival has grown significantly over its 26-year history and now enjoys strong local, state and national popularity.
The Festival runs for 10 days with over 40 events taking place in all the major towns in the Riverland District of South Australia. Events include Open Gardens in all districts (Renmark, Paringa, Berri Barmera, Monash, Glossop, Waikerie, Winke, Ramco, Bugle Hut and Stuart).
Events also include the Renmark Fair & Market, Waikerie Flower Show, Welcome Dinner, Gala Dinner, Gardening Seminars and the perennial Renmark Floral Display, with the 2022 theme being to Honour Queen Elizabeth II.
The 2022 Festival will be opened at the Festival Fair to be held on Saturday 15 October at the Jarrett Memorial Gardens, Renmark, by Ms Henrianne de Briey, World President of the World Federation of Rose Societies.
