The Paringa Paddock Trail is a walking, off road cycling and running trail for individuals and families to enjoy the natural environment
and river scenery.
Description
The trail consists of 2 main loops and 4 alternate, more challenging sections of single track across almost flat terrain.
Located just off the Sturt Highway between Renmark and Paringa, the trail commences from the picnic area at the Lions Park on Patey Drive (adjacent to the entry to the Big 4 Renmark Riverfront Holiday Park) and approx. 1.5km walk from the Renmark Paringa Visitor Information Centre.
Signage is located near the parking area, with a detailed map and directions to the trail entry point by proceeding under the main highway as marked. The Lions Park Loop is approx. 4.3km, with the Goat Island Loop adding a further 3.5km to your total. It is ideal for mountain bikers, walkers and runners as well as families to enjoy the natural environment and river scenery including great views of the Paringa Bridge, Lock 5 and the extensive wetland areas.
All Paringa Paddock Trail sections have directional markers, with the trail designed to be used in a clockwise direction. Dogs are welcome on lead and all rubbish needs to be taken with you as no bins are provided within the site. Toilets are located at the Lions Park. Discretion may be required regarding trail conditions following rain and during high river conditions.
