Description

Hours: Monday to Friday - 10am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 11am to 4pm

Angove Family Winemakers is a fifth generation family business with a tradition of excellence and an eye for the future. They are also one of Australia’s most successful wine businesses.

Description

Angove Family Winemakers began in the Adelaide foothills in 1886, with Thomas C Angove later establishing Angove's distillery and processing house in Renmark in 1910. This was the first of it's kind in the Riverland region and the start of strong and ongoing commitment to the district. In 1968, Angove's began planting their own vines at Paringa, with the Nanya Vineyard becoming the largest single vineyard in Australia in the 1980s.

Today the Angove family are Australia’s leading organic grape grower and winemaker, with a deep commitment to sustainability. The large range of quality wines produced at the winery are exported around the world.

The Cellar Door is located in the beating heart of the working Renmark Winery. Here you will be treated to a range of premium and organic wines, and Australia’s greatest craft spirit, St Agnes Brandy. Stone's Ginger Wine products are also produced under license by the Angove Family Winemakers at the site.

Tours of the St Agnes Distillery are available from Monday to Saturday with the guided tour taking you through the 100-year-old distillery and its barrel halls. Learn the craft of distillation in the historic 'still house' which features three old copper pot stills, taste the 10-year-old XO brandy straight from the barrel and finish your experience with a tasting of the award-winning St Agnes XO 15-year-old. Bookings are essential with tours commencing at 11.30am and running for approximately 45 minutes. Cost is $15 per person and closed in footwear must be worn. Group bookings of 8 or more people are welcome by prior arrangement. The maximum capacity of the tour is 15 people.

All visitors to the St Agnes Distillery who are under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
