Located just 15km out of Renmark, via a combination of both bitumen and well-maintained unsealed roads, Calperum Station is ideal for business and educational groups through to family and friends looking to escape reality for a weekend or so. The accommodation options include the dormitory, self contained guest houses or riverside campsites, all at affordable prices.

The dormitory complex is perfect for large groups, surrounded by native bush land and sleeping up to 40 guests, the dormitory is a popular choice for student camps, nature retreats and special interest groups. The complex boasts a well-equipped camp kitchen and dining area, BBQ shed, separate male/female toilets and showers (including disability access), laundry plus two learning spaces, all within a stones throw of the nature trails and creek.

If you fancy a few more comforts of home, the self contained guest houses offer basic and rustic accommodation options for friends and family groups, accommodating between 2 and 10 guests. The five bedroom Calperum Homestead, known as Calperum House, can sleep upto 10 guests. The house is fully self contained and offers a large dining and lounge area with a modern kitchen, bathroom and laundry plus indoor and outdoor living areas.

The cottages, are quaint and quirky giving you an authenitc experience at Calperum. Broncs Hut is a great option for small groups, a basic, yet charming, two bedroom cottage. Additionally, Hideaway Hut is ideal for the solo traveler or couple with one bedroom. Both the House and Cottages are clean and comfortable and provide a great place to stay while you soak up the magic of Calperum.

Disconnect from the world completely and step back into nature by camping on the banks of the beautiful backwaters and creeks of Calperum Station at one of the eight secluded campsites. The sites are suitable for tents, caravan and camper trailers and accessible via well maintained gravel roads.

Your experience at Calperum Station will be complimented by the numerous walking trails, heritage tracks and the abundance of birds and native wildlife. Guided eco walks and Aboriginal cultural walks along with local canoe and dinghy hire are also available (subject to availability) for those who wish to explore a little further.

Calperum is also fantastic for recreational day visits although permission must be obtained prior by contacting the office during business hours.

Calperum Station (242,800 hectares) and neighbouring property, Taylorville Station (92,600 hectares), are both managed by the Australian Landscape Trust. Both properties and are declared as critical habitat for species conservation under the Commonwealth legislation. Additionally, Calperum Station is also home to the western portion of the internationally recognised Riverland Ramsar wetlands, contributing to one third of the Riverland system. Home to several rare and threatened species, such as Mallee fowl, Black-eared Miner and the Southern Bell Frog, visitors can expect a wide range of native flora and fauna along with many significant Aboriginal cultural sites. Hosting several significant scientific studies and environmental projects, Calperum plays a fundamental role in environmental education.
