The Lions Playground is a large, covered outdoor playground located in the shady Jarrett Memorial Gardens to suit children of all ages
Description
Positioned close to the town centre, the Jarrett Memorial Gardens offer a large undercover playground with free BBQ facilities.
The fully fenced playground is suitable for a broad age group having infant swings to climbing equipment for older children. There are two sets of swings each with one infant and regular swing, a large climbing structure with suspended chain bridge and monkey bars, smaller climbing equipment with slide, flying fox, turn table, musical structures and drums, catering for all levels of ability.
With ample seating, picnic tables, sheltered BBQs, accessible street parking and public toilets close by, the Lions playground is an ideal site to catch up with friends, plan a picnic or a party or simply to wear the kids out after a visit to the nearby Renmark Paringa Public Library.
Renmark's Jarrett Memorial Gardens is a lush, shady parkland overlooking the Murray River. Follow the walking paths through some of the town's beautiful rose gardens, admire the Hope Street mural on the side of the town library plus view the David Ruston Statue and historic rotunda. The tranquil gardens are a popular site for events including live music, wedding ceremonies, parties and the Renmark Paringa Council's Australia Day Breakfast.
