A unique display of war history, art and memorabilia honoring local contributions to war efforts.
Description
The foyer of the Renmark Institute houses the collective of local war history including war honour boards, war orientated artwork and memorabilia from the many war battles. All local servicemen and women who lost their lives in battle are remembered through the honour boards.
The Institute also becomes the backdrop for annual ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day commemorations, with the Cross of Sacrifice located in the median strip opposite the building.
The display is open to the public to view for free on Weekdays and Saturday mornings.
