A small playground shaded by the magnificent river redgums on the banks of the Murray River at SS Ellen Park in Lyrup.
Description
The playground is more traditional with swings, slides, climbing and rockers and is fenced on all sides with bark soft fall as its base. Picnic tables, BBQ's and toilets are located nearby to the site.
SS Ellen Park is a lovely shaded area that allows free camping in self contained caravans and motor-homes for a period of up to 7 days (no tents allowed at this location).
The parkland is right next to the river and a boat ramp located nearby allows access to the water. This is a great spot for fishing and boating on a peaceful quiet section of the river.
Access to the small village of Lyrup is via a 24 hour ferry service across the Murray, which is a unique experience in itself for many visitors!
