FRUIT FLY OUTBREAK - Renmark and the greater Riverland area currently have a number of fruit fly outbreaks. This has resulted in restrictions applying to the movement of at-risk fruit and vegetables within our region. On Sunday, hunt out a bargain at the Bazaar, take a cruise on the historic PS Industry or support the Ski for Life teams as they arrive on the Riverfront on Sunday afternoon - there's a little something for everyone! Renmark Parkrun is an organised, free and timed 5km run or walk put on by the community for the community along the scenic Renmark Riverfront.
The weekly event starts 8am every Saturday morning at the Renmark Riverfront and offers a scenic course that follows the banks of the mighty Murray River close to the town centre.
Participants meet at the Taylor Riverfront Precinct (adjacent to the water play area) at 7.45am for an event briefing / course description before the countdown commences to start the event.
Everyone welcome!
Following the event, many runners enjoy a coffee and catchup at one of the local cafes!
